Alaska is a state of extremes. Days of darkness in the winter, days where the sun doesn’t go down in the summer, mountains and valleys, and temperatures varying between -66°F to 99°F! There are earthquakes, glaciers and northern lights, ice sculpture competitions and dog mushing challenges. There are forest fires in the summer with an average annual snowfall of 65 inches in the winter. Because of all the information, you may want to check out all of our links to get the 'nitty-gritty'.
